EXPOSED-THE FACE OF ANOTHER -NIKOLAI ZAGREKOV @ MAMM
I went to the Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow (MAMM) which is five minutes from my house, is where i get my quick fix of art and culture if i haven’t done anything in a while. They always have an eclectic mix of artists,old school, contemporary and modern. Everything from photography, fine art and prints.

Sasha my agent out here in Moscow, took me and the BF out for a trip around one of the coolest neighbourhoods in Moscow, in the Patriarch’s Ponds. You know I love anything cultural and hip. While making the rounds along the cobbled streets filled with small boutiques and “hipster/arty farty” shops we ended up at a cafe sweetly named Friends Forever.

For a friend’s farewell and birthday (those two events in one day allowed me to play socialite for a night), I chose to rock the tartan look pre-automn in Moscow. In my defence it was a bit chilly so I brought out the tartan peplum skirt i just got from ASOS and styled it out! Got a bit of inspiration from Material Girl (Madonna) and from the 2012 Fall Collection Fashion TV, plus I LUV adding colour splash in Moscow’s grey skyline

The Moscow Victory Day Parade in Moscow’s Red Square Is held on the 9 May every year. Victory Day marks the end of World War II in Europe,, to commemorate the 67th anniversary of the capitulation of Nazi Germany in 1945.

I recently made a stop at one of Moscow’s gigantic shopping malls, the MEGA MALL, how appropriately titled. It is rather MEGA!Mega Mall is one of the largest shopping malls in Europe and includes a huge Auchan hypermarket, skating rink, cinema, food court and hundreds of Russian and Western retail outlets including Zara, Mango, and Mexx.

GLITZ AND GLAM VIENNA BALL
After spending an entire day looking for a gown for this years Vienna Ball Moscow which was held at the Moscow’s Manege Exhibition Hall, I was happy to know that I made the right dress choice (couldn’t get the right size,colour or they were just awful looking gowns). This year was the 10th edition of the Vienna ball and theme was a tribute to the bicentenary of the Patriotic War of 1812 against Napoleon.

It was time to take the load off and have a drink under the Moscow sun. The place of choice was Swedish resturant in Pushkinskaya, SCANDANAVIA.

I’m always intrigued by musicians and i wanted to know what juicy, scandalous thing has ever happened while on stage or on tour. karl continued to tell me of a concert where one of the dancer’s tampons came out during a performance, the tampon got blown into the trumpet on stage and this disgusting image of this tampon continued until Karl was like, OK sorry but we gotta deal with this.I cracked up, I didn’t think the Russian media were amused by that. But press briefings are so boring and why waste time on asking all the interview questions there if you’re doing a one on one. I’m just saying, so I had fun with it. It bought me browny points.

I’m reminded that i wouldn’t be where i am right now, if this day never existed and for that I gave thanks to the men and women who made sure that can embrace and enjoy our rainbow nations in harmony.
